Position: Ab-initio Developer with ETL Location: Mississauga, ON (Hybrid) Employment: Full time

Job Description: aWe are seeking a highly skilled Ab Initio ETL Developer with strong experience in data engineering, ETL development, and metadata management. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in Ab Initio tools, Python-based data pipelines, and working with large-scale datasets in a financial services environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications: Strong experience with Ab Initio tools, including Conduct>IT, Continuous Flows, and Metadata Hub Hands-on expertise in ETL development and optimization Proficiency in Python for data engineering tasks Strong experience in Oracle, SQL Server, or other relational databases Advanced knowledge of SQL, PLSQL, and shell scripting Experience with data modeling and performance tuning Familiarity with data governance, data lineage, and metadata management Proven ability to lead code reviews and enforce development standards Experience in financial services domain (mandatory) Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies Basic knowledge or awareness of AI tools and machine learning models

Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows using Ab Initio (GDE, Co-Operating System, EME, Conduct>IT, Continuous Flows, and Metadata Hub) Implement Conduct>IT, vectors, and metaprogramming techniques Work on PDL, resource pool management, and dynamic lookups Build scalable data pipelines using Python for processing and automation Perform data modeling, database design, and performance tuning Work with large datasets in relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, etc.) Develop and optimize shell scripts and advanced SQL/PLSQL queries Optimize Ab Initio graphs for performance and efficiency Ensure adherence to data governance, lineage, and metadata management practices Conduct code reviews, enforce best practices, and ensure high-quality deliverables Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and translate data requirements Troubleshoot production issues and implement long-term solutions Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and regulatory standards
