About the role
On behalf of our World Class Manufacturing client, we are currently recruiting an Industrial Engineer to assist them with the launch of a new line.
NOTE: 100% On-Site, Windsor, Ontario Must be available to work shifts and weekends 6 Month Contract
RESPONSIBILITIES: Capacity Studies, Observe, downtime constraints including blocked/starved conditions Client Information System (FIS) Verification and Validation MODAPTS analysis of Manual Stations including free effort positions and Meta Analysis Ergonomic Assessments to PTME For Spec Cycle time Data Collection Labor Tracking and Efficiency Assessments Efficiency Studies in relation to Direct, Indirect, Tooling & MP&L Ongoing support of plant operations related to Industrial Engineering Support the client's lead Industrial Engineer with program deliverables
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS: Degree in Industrial Engineering Required 3 - 5 years of automotive Industrial Engineer experience Exceptional people skills across all levels of the organization Must have experience with MODAPTS Strong interpersonal skills, sense of priorities, planning, and organizational skills Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Good troubleshooting skills Knowledge of standard computer software (Microsoft Office, Word, Excel) Experience in an automotive manufacturing environment would be an asset Knowledge of MIDAS documentation and reporting processes preferred Experience in overall line efficiencies and overall line re-balances
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: $36.00 - $40.00 / hour (depending on experience) Paid Benefits after 90 days (individual and family) – extended medical, out-of-country coverage, dental etc. Pension eligibility, with employer match, after 1 full year of work (open enrollment every October)
