Manager of Solutions Architecture
About the role
About the Role OnX is looking for a Manager of Solutions Architecture to join our Greater Toronto Area team. In this role, you will lead and manage a team of Senior Solutions Architects while serving as the technical authority behind complex, vendor-agnostic solutions that help our clients solve real business challenges. You will work closely with Account Executives, clients, and cross-functional teams to design, scope, and deliver scalable outcomes across networking, security, collaboration, data centre, and cloud technologies. This is a remote position supporting clients and team members across Central Canada.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, manage, and develop a team of Senior Solutions Architects across the Central Region, including performance management, coaching, and career development Act as the primary escalation point for complex technical challenges and client engagements within the region Drive consistency in solution quality, methodology, and documentation standards across the team Design comprehensive, vendor-agnostic solutions aligned to client business and technical requirements Develop detailed architectural designs including technical workflows, integrations, and bills of materials Collaborate with Account Executives to support opportunity development and drive sales outcomes Engage clients through workshops, presentations, and proof-of-concept demonstrations Lead RFP responses, solution proposals, and technical presentations — serving as the connective tissue between architecture teams and sales, ensuring every solution is both technically sound and commercially viable. Evaluate and recommend technologies that align with client goals and industry best practices Build resilient, secure, and scalable solutions spanning multiple practice areas Maintain vendor relationships and align on joint go-to-market strategies Develop thorough solution documentation including design specifications and deliverables Stay current with emerging technologies and support the team in pursuing vendor certifications Manage CRM Hygiene, forecasting, opportunity review and coverage with the team Be a Forecast contributor by maintain pipeline visibility so leadership can plan capacity and resources
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s degree an asset). Relevant IT industry certifications are required5+ years of experience in a Solutions Architect or equivalent pre-sales/technical role. 3+ years of experience managing or leading a team of technical professionals, with direct responsibility for performance management and career development Strong knowledge across networking, security, collaboration, and data centre technologies. Familiarity with vendor solutions including Cisco, Aruba/Juniper, Palo Alto, Pure Storage, and Broadcom Demonstrated track record of designing and delivering complex technical solutions. Experience with on premise, Cloud and hybrid cloud solutions. Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
$130,000-150,000 CAD base salary not including commission
