Building Manager - In-person, Toronto (888 Yonge St)
About the role
ABOUT INFO-TECH RESEARCH GROUP
Info-Tech Research Group is a global leader in IT research and advisory services, helping organizations make better technology decisions. Our Toronto headquarters at 888 Yonge Street — the Historic Masonic Temple — reflects who we are: a company that values both history and innovation, and invests in the kind of workplace where great work can happen. We work hard, we move fast, and we like to have fun doing it.
ABOUT THE ROLE
888 Yonge is a multi-tenant heritage building with three distinct occupants: Info-Tech Research Group as the primary corporate office tenant, The Concert Hall as a major live music venue, and a smaller commercial real estate office. Each tenant operates on different schedules and has unique operational needs, requiring a balanced and responsive approach to building management.
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Building Manager to oversee day-to-day operations across the facility, working closely with tenants, vendors, and service providers to ensure smooth building operations. The role includes supporting both standard business-hour operations and occasional evening or weekend needs tied to venue events, though most after-hours support can typically be managed remotely (e.g. BAS adjustments).
As a designated heritage property, the building also requires careful attention to the preservation of protected architectural elements and compliance with applicable heritage guidelines when overseeing building work.
WHO YOU ARE
The right person for this role is equally comfortable supporting live event operations, troubleshooting building systems, and managing vendor relationships. You take pride in well-run spaces, notice issues before they escalate, and enjoy being the go-to person people rely on.
- Personable and approachable, with the ability to build strong relationships across tenants, staff, contractors, and vendors
- Proactive problem-solver who takes initiative and follows through
- Detail-oriented, with a preventative approach to maintenance and operations
- Comfortable managing competing priorities and stakeholder needs with professionalism and good judgment
- Interest in live events, tech offices, or commercial real estate is considered an asset
- Appreciation for heritage properties and maintaining protected architectural elements within a designated heritage building
- Thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and brings energy and enthusiasm to the role
This position reports directly to the Chief Information Officer and offers strong visibility across the organization.
