We are currently hiring a Methods Agent - CNC Programming profile, under the supervision of the Manager, Methods - Quarter Turn. This position plays a key role in machining programming on CNC machine tools. He also acts as a catalyst for continuous improvement and contributes to the achievement of his organization's objectives by actively supporting strategic initiatives. Finally, he collaborates with the Operations and Engineering teams to support the overall performance of the plant and assists in the implementation of their strategic plan in connection with the Safety, Quality and Productivity pillars.

Responsibilities

• Interpret technical drawings
• Define the machining methodology of the part
• Program various 2 to 5 axis machine tools using Catia v5
• Check and make changes to the geometry of the 3D model
• Select the appropriate cutting tools for optimal results
• Generate in a clear and precise manner the documentation necessary for the realization of the product
• Analyze and develop new manufacturing methods to improve productivity and quality
• Perform cutting tool tests and write evaluations
• Be responsible for the first production unit and its efficiency
• Be responsible for optimizing manufacturing to meet production rates
• Support day-to-day production activities by providing proactive technical expertise
• Be an ambassador for continuous improvement and promote a culture of innovation

Your****profile

• DEC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the manufacturing industry
• Minimum of three years of experience in CNC programming
• Excellent knowledge of CATIA V5 and the Code-G language
• Good understanding of machining methods and processes
• Good understanding of geometric tolerancing
• Knowledge of Vericut (Asset)
• Knowledge of Smarteam (Asset)
• Relevant experience as a machinist (Asset)
• Technical problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure in a multidisciplinary team
• Experience in a company that manufactures high-precision machined parts (asset)
• Experience in a company that handles and assembles large heavy components (asset)
• Knowledge of industrial valves (asset)
• Knowledge of the production parts approval process – PPAP/FAI (asset)
• Bilingualism in French/English, oral and written
