The Role
As a Finishing Operator (Large Format), you will be responsible for operating large format finishing equipment, such as flatbed laminators, roll laminators and vinyl cutter systems.
This is an onsite role working Monday to Friday on day shift from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and may require flexibility and willingness for shift changes when required.
Key Responsibilities
Read and understand department job ticket information
Operate and maintain large format laminators, vinyl plotters, cutting and mounting systems
Follow specific fabrication instructions as indicated by work orders and supervisors
Troubleshoot and correct problems during the finishing process as they arise
Manual trimming of various products to finished size
Inspect finished work for quality, accuracy, count, and sizes
Audit and package finished product for safe delivery to clients
Maintain and safely use all large format finishing tools and equipment provided for trimming, cutting and packaging
Follow all protocols for safe working conditions in the facility, such as machinery, chemicals and materials used
Other duties as assigned
Skills & Experiences
2+ years of print industry experience in large format finishing
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Basic computer and math skills
Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
Able to multitask well, remain organized, and handle many projects at once
Willingness to be a cross-functional employee that can work with multiple teams within the organization
Capable of regularly lifting 40lbs or more
