Tasks: Install built-up roofing systems using materials such as asphalt saturated felts and hot asphalt and gravel. Install roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings. Install single-ply roofing system using waterproof sheet materials, such as modified plastics, elastomeric or other asphaltic compositions. Repair or replace shingles and shakes on sloped roofs of buildings. Repair or replace single-ply roofing systems. Repair roofing systems. Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools. Install sheet metal flashings. Erect and install scaffolding, falsework and other working platforms. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : First Aid Certificate. Fall Arrest Protection Training Course. Area of specialization: Shingled roofs. Skylights. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Physically demanding. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Hand-eye co-ordination. Handling heavy loads. Repetitive tasks. Work under pressure. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Client focus. Dependability. Excellent oral communication. Reliability.
