Mechanical Assembler
About the role
Tenure - Full Time Title - Mechanical Assembler Location -Hamilton, ON Hours -Morning shift (7am-3:30pm) Pay Rate - $26.50 per hour Responsibilities: Ability to act as assembly project lead on low to moderate complexity projects. Direct work of MO2 assemblers, ensuring quality and taking accountability for low to moderate assembly projects. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, excluding wiring portion independently, as well as Oracle Bill of Materials. Adequate computer skills to utilize 3D model viewing software and Microsoft Office products for emailing, e-turnbacks, etc. Check parts picked/delivered to parts required. Resolve discrepancies, if any, with supervisor. Escalate drawing concerns via appropriate channel. Apply consistency in assembly method for units on the same order. Clean unit and prepare for testing process. Check performance of completed components to ensure compliance to quality standards and make necessary adjustments when required in order to meet quality goals. Use various fixtures, gauges and assembly tools to assemble, adjust or repair product. Perform other duties as required. Qualifications: Minimum 2 years experience in mechanical assembly using power tools Completed High School Diploma or equivalency. Ability to lift up to 20 pounds independently and up to 50 pounds with assistance using proper/safe lifting techniques. Ability to commute/relocate:
