GFL Environmental is looking for a Portables Driver to join our team in Duncan, British Columbia! An Ideal candidate will safely operate pumper truck and auxiliary equipment on an assigned route to service customers in a safe and efficient manner. Deliver, pick up, clean and service portable units, wash stations and holding tanks. Deliver collected waste to disposal site. Why Join TEAM GREEN • Excellent Health, Vision, and Dental benefits • Retirement savings options • Possible Over Time • Excellent work life balance Work Schedule: any 5 days per week & 2 day off, rotational Key Responsibilities: • Responsible for daily pre and post trip inspections • Perform driver check-ins at days end to ensure complete and accurate paperwork completion • Ensure assigned routes are completed in a timely and safe manner • Follow all protocols while dumping loads at facilities • May perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Operations Manager • General yard clean-up • Assist with set up and take down of temporary fencing • Proactively participate in GFL safety culture and training • Proven ability to multi-task & ability to prioritize tasks & knowledge of industry an asset • Other duties as assigned Requirements: • Must have a valid Class 5 Driver's License, Air brakes endorsement is an asset. • Physically intensive: ability to exert muscle force to lift, push, pull or carry objects up to 50 pounds repetitively using proper lifting techniques • Exposure to weather elements, noise and dust • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Strong customer focus • Knowledge of the city and surrounding areas #GFLTalent We thank you for your interest.
