Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Compute dimensions and tolerances of machine parts. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables. Set up and adjust production machineries/tools. Fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance. Maintain, repair and calibrate precision measuring instruments. Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers). Set up and operate conventional and computer controlled machine tools. Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments. Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions. Clean machines and immediate work areas. Follow emergency and safety procedures. Perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery.
