Location: Canada-wide travel required | Remote / Site-Based

Chemco Electrical Contractors Ltd. is seeking an experienced High Voltage Construction Superintendent / Estimator to support substation and high voltage electrical projects across Canada. This role combines field supervision with estimating support and will work closely with operations, project management, and the estimating department to help deliver safe, efficient, and successful projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily construction activities on high voltage and substation projects.
• Supervise field crews, subcontractors, and site safety compliance.
• Assist the estimating department with project take-offs, budgeting, tender reviews, labour projections, and pricing.
• Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
• Coordinate labour, materials, equipment, and project schedules.
• Ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and to quality standards.
• Maintain project reports, documentation, and progress updates.
• Support client, utility, and stakeholder communication as required.
• Travel to project sites across Canada as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in high voltage or substation construction.
• Previous supervisory or superintendent experience.
• Experience assisting with construction estimating and bid preparation.
• Strong understanding of utility and high voltage construction practices.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of Canadian OH&S regulations and safety standards.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
