Your Next Challenge

Reporting to the Exploration Advisor, you will be part of the Hope Bay Exploration Team. You will participate in the interpretation of geological data from the Hope Bay Greenstone Belt, with your main task being to build 3D models based on integration of lithological, structural and/or mineralization data.

You will act as a reference person in terms of data availability and quality, and the geological understanding of the deposits. You will collaborate with various departments and share your observations and interpretations.

You will also ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct, and environmental standards.

Complete 3D modelling for the various mandates assigned. Ensure quality geological interpretation in line with industry best practices. Ensure the delivery of a quality model within established deadlines. Generate geological interpretation and 3D geological models through data compilation. Contribute to the planning of the exploration programs and target generation. Work to improve geological models and understand mineralization controls. Assist in training and mentoring within the Hope Bay Exploration team. Contribute to the overall geological knowledge of the property. Communicate appropriately and work closely with the various Agnico Eagle expert groups. Provide relevant geological information to other technical services disciplines (mining engineering, infrastructure, geotechnical, environmental, and metallurgical) and support them by answering their questions.

What You Need To Succeed

Bachelor's degree in geology or geological engineering. 5+ years of exploration experience, including at least 2 years as a modelling geologist. Strong experience in 3D geological modelling. Significant experience with gold deposits is an asset. Knowledge of Leapfrog Edge and DH Logger/Fusion is a strong asset. Knowledge of Leapfrog Edge, Datamine Studio RM and Snowden Supervisor is also considered an asset. Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications, especially Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Membership in good standing with a professional association (Geologists or Engineers). Your Work Schedule: 14 days of work, followed by 14 days for transportation and rest. Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides charter flights to and from the mine site and will cover additional travel expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
