Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. As Production Manager (Plant), this position manages Sechelt’s fixed plant production and load-out-related activities, including processing, stockpiling, and associated activities, in compliance with all health & safety expectations and to achieve maximum operational efficiency. What You’ll Be Doing Ensure all employees, contractors, visitors, and operational activities comply with health & safety, environmental, Mines Code, and WorkSafeBC requirements, including execution of all Shiftboss, managerial duties and company policies Oversee processing, stockpiling, load-out, and related activities, developing and implementing detailed operational, material movement, and water management plans Lead, monitor, and optimize operational performance by recruiting, training, coaching, and directing employees to achieve efficiency, engagement, and collective agreement compliance Manage and control departmental costs, ensuring alignment with budget targets and taking corrective actions as needed Collaborate cross-functionally with maintenance and technical services teams to prioritize maintenance activities and ensure product quality meets required specifications Collaboration with mine production team What Are We Looking For Post-secondary education in mining, engineering, or operations management, or equivalent experience in mining and manufacturing operations BC Ministry of Energy & Mines Shiftboss certification preferred Strong expertise in health & safety management, including emergency response, incident management, and employee training and development Proven experience in labour relations within a unionized environment, including supervisory responsibilities Technical proficiency in mining operations, including aggregate processing, QA/QC methods, and marine bulk transport Change management regarding process production development What We Offer Competitive base salary: $106,810 - $142,430 Participation in our annual incentive plan Industry leading benefits package, including health, dental, and wellness Pension plan with an automatic company contribution as well as matching contributions and RRSP options Opportunities for training, development, career growth within a global organization Heidelberg Materials welcomes and encourages applications from people with disabilities.
