Role Description The Drywall Taper is a full-time, on-site role based in Sudbury, ON. This role is responsible for taping, mudding, and finishing drywall seams, corners, and surfaces to prepare walls and ceilings for painting or other finishes. Day-to-day tasks include applying joint compound, installing and smoothing tape, sanding surfaces, repairing imperfections, and ensuring a clean, even finish that meets quality and safety standards. The Drywall Taper will work closely with other trades on new builds and renovation projects, follow project timelines and site instructions, and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in an organized, safe manner. Qualifications Proficiency in drywall finishing, including taping, mudding, and sanding. Absolutely no drinking during work hours. Experience in remodeling and renovation work, with the ability to adapt to varied project scopes. Background in construction, understanding job site safety. Previous experience as a Drywall Taper or Finisher in construction environments. Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision. Attention to detail, manual dexterity, and ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and working on ladders. Reliable transportation to Sudbury, ON job sites and willingness to work standard full-time construction hours. Knowledge of health and safety practices on construction sites; relevant certifications are an asset.
