Touching Lives.  Job purpose   The main responsibility of this position is to collect IP/bulk/FG samples, log in all received QC samples in the QC Master schedule and issue testing method templates   Duties and responsibilities  

Testing of in-process, bulk, finished product, stability samples and raw materials by TLC, UV, IR, HPLC and GC and wet chemistry techniques as per SOP. Interpret data, communicate results and complete written reports Recognizes OOS or out of trend results and under the direction of the Supervisor assists in the completion of lab investigations Complete all GMP Documentation correctly and in a timely manner Complete all training assignments and maintain personal training records Participate in Internal, Customer, Regulatory and Safety Audits Other duties as assigned  Testing of in-process, bulk, finished product, stability samples and raw materials by TLC, UV, IR, HPLC and GC and wet chemistry techniques as per SOP. Reconciliation and disposal of tested samples

  Additional responsibility (Only applicable to customer facing roles)   Report any adverse event received from customers for company products to the pharmacovigilance department / Drug Safety on the same day or within 1 business day   Qualifications  

Bachelor of Science Minimum 1-year experience in Pharmaceutical Laboratory environment preferred Ability to apply knowledge of chemistry, math, to complete tasks Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment Strong organizational and multi-tasking ability Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues Excellent written and oral communication skills Understanding of GMP’s

  Working conditions   Generally, fairly pleasant surroundings.  Occasional exposure to higher than normal noise levels, frequent exposure to various chemicals used in the testing of raw materials, components and finished products.  Occasional exposure to unpleasant odors resulting from testing procedures.  Fairly level temperatures.  Mixture of standing and walking, some light lifting and/or moving of instruments with the aid of a cart   Physical requirements   Office based   Direct reports   NA   This posting is for an existing vacancy.   The presently-anticipated base compensation pay range for this position is $56,500 to $71,000. Actual base compensation may vary based on a number of factors, including but not limited to geographical location and experience. In addition, this position is part of the Annual Performance Bonus Plan. Employees are eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs which include medical, dental and vision coverage; life insurance; RRSP savings plan; and the employee assistance program.
