ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking a highly skilled Principle Senior DevOps Storage Engineer to design, build, and operate multi-cloud storage platforms and automation frameworks supporting large-scale SaaS environments. This role sits at the intersection of cloud architecture, storage engineering, and DevOps/SRE practices, with a strong focus on automation, orchestration, and platform reliability. The potion reports to the Vice President of Storage Software Engineering and will be responsible to run scrum teams and general leadership responsibilities of other engineers. The ideal candidate combines deep expertise in cloud-native infrastructure, distributed storage systems, and Kubernetes-based platforms with hands-on experience in infrastructure-as-code and operational excellence. WHAT YOU WILL DO: Cloud Architecture & Platform Engineering Design, develop, and maintain multi-cloud deployment architectures across AWS, Azure, GCP, and Cisco cloud platforms Build scalable, secure, and resilient storage platform infrastructure supporting SaaS services Define and implement reference architectures for hybrid and cloud-native storage systems Lead the assigned team of engineers by providing architecture design, mentorship and documentation frameworks for building and maintaining the environments Automation & Orchestration Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and automation pipelines using: Terraform, Ansible, Puppet (or equivalent orchestration tools) Drive end-to-end orchestration of platform provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management Standardize and optimize CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and platform delivery Storage Engineering & Kubernetes Architect and manage distributed storage solutions in cloud and hybrid environments Integrate storage platforms with Kubernetes-based workloads and container orchestration frameworks Ensure high availability, performance optimization, and data durability across environments Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) & DevOps Implement SRE best practices including observability, monitoring, alerting, and incident response Maintain SLAs, SLOs, and error budgets for storage and platform services Continuously improve system reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency Technical Leadership & Enablement Provide technical mentorship, training, and knowledge sharing across engineering teams Develop internal documentation, training materials, and enablement workshops Act as a subject matter expert in cloud, storage, and automation technologies WHAT YOU DELIVER: Minimum Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, with strong focus Storage systems, Networking, Kubernetes, and Cloud infrastructure and automation 3+ years of hands-on experience with DevOps and SRE practices in SaaS platform environments, particularly those focused on storage services 3+ years of experience with infrastructure orchestration tools, including: Terraform,Ansible,Puppet (or equivalent) Proven experience working across multi-cloud environments: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP),Cisco cloud platforms Strong expertise in: Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, Automation frameworks, API-driven infrastructure management Preferred Qualifications Experience designing and operating large-scale distributed storage platforms Deep understanding of cloud-native architectures and microservices Hands-on experience with: Kubernetes ecosystem (EKS, AKS, GKE), Container storage interfaces (CSI), Observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc.) Experience with hybrid cloud and global namespace architectures Familiarity with networking concepts including SDN and cloud networking models Soft Skills & Leadership Strong ability to teach, mentor, and communicate complex technical topics Proven experience delivering training or technical enablement programs Excellent collaboration across cross-functional engineering teams Ability to operate in a fast-paced, large-scale SaaS environment What Success Looks Like Fully automated, repeatable multi-cloud storage deployment pipelines High availability and reliability of SaaS storage platforms Improved engineering velocity through standardized orchestration frameworks Strong cross-team adoption of best practices and architectural standards What to look forward to?
