Job Description: Job Description Investment Management, Retail Wealth is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Engineering Manager, to lead Account Pods enabling the next generation Investment platform and enhancing the client experience across Retail Wealth Investments. This role will lead the delivery enterprise-scale capabilities spanning customer-facing digital experiences, API enablement, cloud infrastructure modernization, data strategy, and platform transformation. The successful candidate will partner closely with Product Owners, Architects, Release Managers, Business Leaders, and Vendor Partners to define and execute delivery roadmaps that support critical business outcomes. This is a visible leadership role requiring exceptional execution capabilities, financial services experience, and proven success leading complex technology programs through all phases of delivery. Key Accountabilities Strategic Technology Leadership Lead end-to-end technology delivery for the Retail Wealth Accounts, including platform modernization, API enablement, customer experience enhancements, and data capabilities. Define technology roadmaps, delivery milestones, implementation strategies, and execution plans aligned with business objectives. Drive architecture and engineering decisions in partnership with Solution Architects and Engineering team. Ensure alignment to TD technology standards, security controls, regulatory requirements, and risk management practices. Program and Delivery Leadership Lead delivery teams, vendors, and stakeholders. Establish scope, timelines, budget forecasts, dependencies, and risk mitigation strategies. Drive delivery predictability through strong planning, governance, and execution discipline. Manage competing priorities while maintaining focus on customer value and business outcomes. Provide executive-level reporting, status updates, and escalation management. Engineering Excellence Lead team building scalable and resilient technology solutions using modern engineering practices. Champion cloud adoption, automation, continuous integration, and continuous delivery practices. Drive quality engineering, operational excellence, platform stability, and technical debt reduction. Foster innovation and continuous improvement within engineering teams. Financial & Vendor Management Develop resource plans, and investment recommendations. Ensure optimal utilization of internal and external delivery teams. Risk & Governance Act as the technology owner for critical assets and services. Maintain strong governance over technology risk, compliance, cybersecurity, and operational resilience. Identify and proactively manage delivery, operational, infrastructure, and vendor risks. Ensure audit readiness and adherence to enterprise controls and standards. People Leadership Build, lead, and develop high-performing engineering teams. Coach engineers, analysts, and technical leads to maximize performance and career growth. Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and accountable culture focused on continuous development. Support succession planning, talent management, recruitment, and employee engagement Required Qualifications Experience 5+ years of progressive technology leadership experience within Banking, Wealth Management, Capital Markets, or Financial Services. 2+ years leading large-scale technology programs with budgets of several million dollars. Proven success leading complex modernization, transformation, or new product enablement initiatives. Demonstrated ability to step into existing programs and quickly establish delivery momentum. Experience managing multiple internal and external delivery teams simultaneously.
