Your Next Challenge
Reporting to the Mine Supervisor, you will be part of the Maintenance Department. You will be supporting the safe and continuous mining operation of the site. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
Consistent with Maintenance Department Classification Guideline; Read and interpret project plans, blueprints and other written instructions and diagrams to perform task at hand; Perform FCAW, GMAW, GTAW, Oxyacetylene and other types of weld based on project needs; Experience with Carbon Arc Gouging as well as SMAW; Field install welds, including duct work, light fixtures, vents, fans, metal sheeting and other parts; Complete mobile equipment repairs; Box and bucket re-lines; Select proper fillers for jobs based on previous experience or project instructions; Coordinate with field labor crew for efficient installations; Conserve resources whenever possible to ensure budgetary integrity and client satisfaction; De-bur and grind metal as necessary to achieve proper surface texture; Ensures that the work areas, equipment and work practices comply with the regulatory codes, statutes and company requirements; Liaises effectively with colleagues and managers regarding various work situations and the activities within the department; All other duties as may be assigned.
What You Need To Succeed
School Diploma required; Welders License required; Experience reading diagrams & schematics; Accurate with measurements and take offs; Experience in CMMS; 5+ years’ experience in similar role (Mining Equipment preferred); Teamwork and self starting work ethic.
Your Work Schedule
Schedule: 4/3 rotation at our Upper Beaver Gold Project in Dobie, ON.
