ABOUT MASTERCARD FOUNDATION Mastercard Foundation, one of the largest foundations in the world, works with visionary organizations to advance education and financial inclusion to enable young people in Africa and Indigenous youth in Canada to access dignified and fulfilling work. Established in 2006 through the generosity of Mastercard when it became a public company, the Mastercard Foundation is an independent organization separate from Mastercard. The Foundation has offices in Toronto, Kigali, Accra, Nairobi, Kampala, Lagos, Dakar, and Addis Ababa.
WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH You will report to the Senior Manager, Information Technology and will build and maintain relationships with teams across MFAM, the Mastercard Foundation, external consultants, and vendors. As a member of the team, you will have opportunities to grow and develop and create meaningful value and lasting impact through the Mastercard Foundation.
WHAT YOU’LL DO Acting as an embedded, hands-on technology partner across the organization, you will support and enhance MFAM’s technology environment across end-user experience, applications, infrastructure, and cybersecurity. You will play a key role in ensuring our systems are reliable, secure, and continuously improving as the organization grows.
Accountabilities include:
End-User Technology & Operations Deliver responsive, high-quality technology support Troubleshoot issues across hardware, software, and network connectivity, engaging external vendors where required Manage the full employee technology lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, and access provisioning Configure and maintain Microsoft 365 services (Azure AD, Intune, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive) Develop documentation and promote best practices to enhance user experience Identify and implement improvements where appropriate
Technology Infrastructure & Platforms Support the operation and continuous improvement of core technology infrastructure, including cloud services, networks, and connectivity Monitor system performance and reliability, and assist in resolving infrastructure-related issues Contribute to the implementation of infrastructure enhancements and new capabilities aligned to the technology roadmap Collaborate with internal teams and external partners
Application Delivery & Business Enablement Partner with business teams to understand needs and translate them into practical technology solutions Support and enhance core business applications (e.g., CRM and deal pipeline platforms) through platform configuration, user access management, and in-app workflow improvements Gather requirements, perform testing, and coordinate delivery of system enhancements Maintain in-application data quality across supported platforms; collaborate with Data & Analytics teams as required Create training materials and onboard users to drive effective adoption of tools Contribute to improving workflows and how technology supports investment processes
Cybersecurity & Risk Management Support the implementation and day-to-day operation of cybersecurity controls across systems and endpoints Monitor, triage, and respond to security alerts, including phishing investigations and incident handling Assist with identity and access management, including permissions and multi-factor authentication Contribute to third-party/vendor risk management processes Promote cybersecurity awareness and reinforce best practices across the organization Contribute to IT policy rollout, user awareness, and day-to-day adherence
Technology Governance, Vendors & Asset Lifecycle Management Work with external vendors and service providers to resolve issues, deliver enhancements, and maintain service quality Contribute to vendor selection, onboarding and day-to-day performance tracking Support procurement processes, including licensing, renewals, and cost tracking Maintain IT asset inventory and support lifecycle management of devices and systems Incorporate change management considerations into technology initiatives by assessing impacts on users, workflows, and business processes
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Core Capabilities 3-5 years of experience in a technology, operations or related role, ideally within a fast-paced environment Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues, think critically, and deliver practical solutions Ability to operate across a broad range of technologies Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear, business-friendly language Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with colleagues across functions, building trust and working collaboratively to deliver outcomes Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work in a timely manner
Technology & Domain Knowledge Hands-on experience including Microsoft 365 (Azure AD/Entra ID, Intune, Teams, SharePoint) Familiarity with cloud-based infrastructure, device management, and enterprise SaaS applications Working knowledge of networking and security platforms (e.g., WAN/LAN, VPN, MFA, endpoint protection, troubleshooting) Experience with IT service management (ITSM) tooling and ticket-driven work intake/management Exposure to cybersecurity concepts (identity and access management, endpoint security, and phishing response) Experience supporting or configuring business applications (e.g., CRM or workflow tools) is an asset
Business & Collaboration Skills Interest in understanding how technology supports business processes Ability to work closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to deliver solutions Experience engaging with external vendors or partners is an asset Strong documentation skills and attention to detail

This is an on-site role, with a requirement to work from our Toronto office 4 days per week.
