Select equipment for residential and small commercial construction. Measure and mark sheet metal according to template. Operate metalworking machines to cut, punch, drill, shape or straighten sheet metal. Grind and buff seams, joints and rough surfaces. Inspect products to ensure quality and conformity to specification. Instruct apprentices. Cut materials using power tools or by hand. Fit and join sheet metal parts. Install sheet metal products according to specifications and building codes. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Aerial lift and aerial work platform Certification. Fall Arrest Protection Training Course. Air conditioning and refrigeration systems: Ventilation. Specialization or experience: Heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system. Security and safety: Basic security clearance. Criminal record check. Driver's validity licence check. Driving record check (abstract). Drug test. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Own transportation. Own vehicle. Vehicle supplied by employer. Willing to travel. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots.
