Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: Dusty. Noisy. Outdoors. Tasks: Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints. Apply, level and smooth coats of plaster. Clean and prepare surfaces. Cure freshly plastered surfaces. Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using trowel and broad knife. Finish corners and angles and create decorative designs in finish coat, if required. Mix plaster ingredients to desired consistency. Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry. Spray acoustic or texture materials over walls and ceilings. Tape over joints using taping machine and embed tape in compound. Trowel or spray coats of stucco over exteriors of buildings to form weatherproof surfaces. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Handling heavy loads. Standing for extended periods. Work under pressure. Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years.
