We’re looking for an electrical engineering technician who is passionate about automation and manufacturing technologies to help bring a variety of projects to fruition. In this role, you’ll actively participate in improving and optimizing our equipment while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to implement high-performance, safe, and sustainable solutions.
In This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To
Participate in the design, modification, and programming of electrical systems, PLCs, and operator interfaces Implement automation and modifications to equipment based on operational needs and internal customer requirements Participate in the startup and commissioning of new or modified equipment, ensuring its performance and safety Coordinate the various stages of automation projects, from requirements analysis through to production launch Collaborate on procurement, manufacturing oversight, and equipment installation Support production teams in the continuous improvement and optimization of existing systems Ensure compliance with health and safety, quality, and environmental standards Diagnose technical issues and help identify the root causes of failures Provide technical support to various internal and external partners

With the following skills and qualities, you will thrive in this role:
College diploma in electrical engineering (or equivalent) with at least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment Proficiency in Allen-Bradley and AutoCAD Electrical software; knowledge of FactoryTalk View and Ignition (a plus) Good knowledge of the Canadian and Quebec Electrical Codes Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously Knowledge of machine safety standards Strong organizational skills and ability to provide technical oversight of projects Ability to explain technical concepts in layman’s terms and collaborate with various stakeholders Functional English, both spoken and written (3/5) Proficiency with Microsoft Office
