Senior Supportability Engineer (Permanent)Victoria, BC Expected Salary: $86,879 to $115,838To determine final salary, Babcock considers a variety of factors including the successful Candidate’s skills and experience and internal equity. The final base salary offer is at the Company’s sole discretion and presented as part of a competitive total compensation package. Additionally, colleagues can contribute directly to a TFSA Flexibility in How We Work•    We offer an agile workplace for several positions•    An option of a compressed work schedule supports work/life interests•    Competitive annual vacation time off and additional time off during our holiday closure  Growth and recognition•    A comprehensive colleague recognition program and bonus program•    Training and support for professional development and professional membership dues    We encourage you to learn more about Babcock Canada by exploring our website: babcockcanada.com.Description In this role, you will:  •    Support a team of multi-discipline engineers and technologists through LSA on equipment and systems with a goal of establishing and improving maintenance programs to increase reliability and availability of equipment, at the lowest cost.•    Formalise processes for logistics modelling, logistics database management and optimization.•    Maintain Integrated Logistics Support technical documentation and lead in its development where required.•    Assist working groups to develop innovative solutions to equipment challenges.•    Collaborate with staff throughout Babcock Canada and its sub-contractors to progress assigned tasks.•    Liaise with the customer as necessary to ensure that the assigned tasks meet with their requirements.•    Aid in the development of new tools and techniques for through-life cost, operational availability, and safety management that Babcock Canada can deploy in support of the business.•    Contribute to the continuous improvement of all engineering processes, practices, or policies as it relates to any assigned project, task, team, or department.•    Take part in specific business improvement activities as assigned.•    Exercise care for own health and safety and that of others. •    Perform other duties as necessary.    The ideal candidate brings:    •    A Bachelor of Engineering Degree, licensed to practice in Canada as a Professional Engineer•    8+ years relevant experience •    Proven ability to identify opportunity and solutions, and familiarize clients with the value to be gained through analysis•    Demonstrated technical knowledge and understanding of processes associated with ships and/or submarines, or similarly complex assets•    Proven ability to be self-motivated and pro-active•    Intimate knowledge, understanding and application of Microsoft Office Suite•    Written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills for diverse audiences•    Experience in marine and/or combat systems support with extensive knowledge of DND working practices an asset •    Eligibility for a Canadian Secret Security, Controlled Goods, and ITAR Clearance Babcock is committed to promoting a workforce without boundaries.
