About the role
JOB OVERVIEW
The Automotive Service technician is responsible for inspecting and repairing a wide range fleet vehicles. This licensed professional will oversee maintenance inspections, monitor inventory, assemble mechanical components, diagnose, perform repairs, and complete documentation.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Correct vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems such as power and drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering and hydraulics.
- Complete annual CVIP inspections and certifications.
- Proficient with hand and power tools.
- Proficient with electronic components and computerized equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical problems.
- Maintain relationships with multiple vendors to source parts in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Travel and overnight trips to perform offsite service and maintenance may be required.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Licensed Automotive Service Technician within Alberta
- 2+ years Automotive Service Technician experience would be an asset
- Ability to work alone or with minimal supervision
- Problem solving skills that can be displayed and communicated efficiently
- Must be physically fit enough to meet the challenges of hard physical work (lift to 50 pounds).
- Computer proficient
- Successfully PASS and maintain Criminal Record Check
- Fluent in English, written and spoken
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $35.00-$38.00 per hour
