About Miru Miru Smart Technologies Corp. (“Miru”) is located in Vancouver, BC. Our cutting-edge electrochromic smart window technology builds on more than 10 years of academic and industrial research on advanced thin films. We are now bringing smart windows to the smart home and the smart vehicle. Miru’s smart windows will offer a convenient, versatile way to reduce energy consumption and customize almost any environment. We’re looking for a hands-on Process development chemist I to help scale and optimize the production of advanced ink formulations used in our electrochromic technologies. You’ll play a key role in translating lab-scale chemistry into reliable, high-quality production processes that support our commercial growth. This role blends technical expertise with process ownership, offering the opportunity to drive improvements in product quality, operational efficiency, and chemical manufacturing practices. Key Responsibilities: Under the guidance of senior development scientists, participate in identifying promising ink formulation compositions and take responsibility for the preparation, formulation, and evaluation of small-scale ink formulations. Scale up targeted development formulations at the 1L scale. Create and maintain SOPs and production documentation. Maintain complete batch records and a detailed lab notebook. Ensure a safe, clean, and organized chemistry lab and production workspace. Qualifications: BS or MS in Chemistry or a related discipline (e.g., Organic/Inorganic Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science) Experience in chemical processing or production with 1L+ volumes Thorough knowledge of analytical techniques such as UV-Vis, FT-IR, TGA, NMR, KF, and GC-MS Strong commitment to laboratory safety and safe handling of chemicals Competencies: Excellent time management and multitasking skills to manage multiple projects efficiently Comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile environment with shifting priorities Self-starter with strong accountability, attention to detail, and ability to work independently under tight deadlines Hands-on, solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving and design Creative thinker with an agile mindset and willingness to take initiative Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to cross-functional teams Comfortable collaborating with diverse internal and external stakeholders High regard for workplace safety and commitment to company policies, including Quality Assurance and OHSE standards Please Note: This position requires full-time, in-office presence at our Olympic Village locations. Flexibility to occasionally work early mornings, evenings, or weekends as needed Why Miru? Compensation: The posted range for this position is $70,000 - $82,500 representing the expected starting base salary for candidates from developing proficiency in the role through to fully proficient. In addition to base salary, you will be eligible for our bonus program, stock options, 4+ paid weeks off/year and extended health benefits after 3 months of service.
