Job Description

On behalf of our client, Affinity is seeking a Network & Cloud Connectivity Engineer for a full time permanent position. Candidates must be located in the lower mainland for hybrid work in Vancouver. The Network & Cloud Connectivity Engineer is a senior technical role responsible for the reliability, secure configuration, and resilience of an organization's on-premises and cloud network infrastructure. This role owns the design, configuration, operation, and continuous improvement of the network environment across on-premises sites and cloud platforms, including the security perimeter. The successful candidate will be passionate about modern networking, cloud connectivity, and security best practices. They will be detail-oriented, organized, and committed to maintaining a stable, secure, and scalable network environment.

Responsibilities

Own the day-to-day reliability, availability, and performance of enterprise network infrastructure Act as technical owner for network infrastructure, ensuring accurate documentation and operational standards Design, configure, and maintain enterprise switching, routing, wireless, firewall, and SD-WAN environments Support Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) initiatives and network segmentation strategies Design and maintain cloud networking environments including virtual networks, firewalls, DNS services, and hybrid connectivity Develop and maintain network automation solutions and infrastructure-as-code practices Support network security, vulnerability remediation, disaster recovery, and compliance initiatives Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for network-related incidents and service requests Support Operational Technology (OT) and connected device environments as required

Qualifications

5–8 years of enterprise network engineering experience Cisco networking certifications (CCNA required, CCNP preferred) Azure networking experience, including AZ-700 certification or equivalent Strong experience with switching, routing, firewalls, wireless, SD-WAN, and ZTNA platforms Experience with cloud networking, automation, and network security Experience with scripting and automation tools such as Ansible
