Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Welder role located in Ste-Catherine-de-la-Jacques-Cartier, QC. The Welder will perform daily welding tasks on metal parts and structures, including reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders. Responsibilities include setting up welding equipment, selecting appropriate materials and welding processes, and executing clean, accurate welds while maintaining safety and quality standards. The role requires inspecting finished work for defects, performing basic maintenance on tools and equipment, and collaborating with production team members to meet project timelines and output goals. Qualifications Demonstrated proficiency in Welding and Arc Welding techniques for manufacturing and fabrication tasks. Hands-on experience with MIG Welding for structural components and production work. Hands-on experience with TIG Welding for precision and high-quality finishes. Knowledge of Materials used in metal fabrication, including properties, handling, and appropriate welding methods. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and weld symbols. Commitment to workplace safety, including proper use of PPE and adherence to safety procedures. Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and ability to maintain consistent quality standards. Previous experience in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment is an asset. Relevant welding certification or vocational training is preferred.
