About the role

Job Summary Cabinetmakers fabricate, assemble and install cabinetry and related wood components for residential and commercial projects. They ensure accurate measurement, material selection and high-quality finishing to meet design specifications. Number of Positions 2 Main Duties Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications to plan cabinet construction and installation. Measure, mark and cut wood, laminates and panel products using hand and power tools. Fabricate and assemble cabinet components, frames, drawers and doors using appropriate joinery techniques. Install cabinets, countertops and trim on-site, ensuring proper fit, alignment and secure fastening. Apply finishes, veneer, edge banding and hardware, perform sanding and touch-up, and ensure aesthetic quality. Maintain and inspect tools and equipment, follow safety procedures, and perform quality checks on completed work. Requirements Secondary school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a cabinetmaking apprenticeship, vocational program, or equivalent on-the-job training. Minimum 2 years of experience in cabinetmaking, woodworking or a related trade. Proficiency operating woodworking machinery and hand tools such as saws, routers, sanders and drills. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, shop drawings and specifications. Physical ability to lift materials, work on elevated surfaces, and perform repetitive manual tasks for extended periods.
