ENMAX is hiring new Electrical Engineering graduates to join our Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Program beginning in September 2026. You will have the opportunity to customize your own experience by choosing work rotations throughout ENMAX business units. This is an early career opportunity to launch your engineering career. You’ll build a solid foundation, grow your professional network, and contribute to meaningful work that makes an impact from day one. What is the EIT Program? Our rotational program gives you the opportunity to gain experience in multiple areas of ENMAX Power. You’ll work alongside industry experts and licensed Professional Engineers (P.Engs) on meaningful projects that drive our operations and support the communities we serve. How the program works: You'll complete multiple work rotations across different business units, giving you a well-rounded view of how the electricity system works — from planning to operations Rotation areas may include System Operations & Asset Performance, Project Delivery (Engineering & Project Management), Planning, Asset Management & Reliability, Regulatory Applications, and Business Operations (Business Planning & Capital Management), with additional exposure aligned to business needs and your professional development. Each rotation gives you hands-on experience, technical mentorship, and the chance to contribute to real projects that make a difference. Upon completion of the program, you’ll apply for permanent roles within ENMAX Power that align with your skills and interests to continue your path toward achieving your Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation. Who can Apply: We’re looking for curious, driven, and community-minded engineering graduates ready to take the next step. To be eligible, you must: Graduated or be graduating with a B.Sc., M.Sc., or M.Eng. in Electrical Engineering in 2025 or 2026 Registered as an Engineer in Training with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geosciences of Alberta (APEGA), or be eligible for registration Hold a valid Class 5 driver’s license with no more than 6 demerits Ability to work in a Hybrid (office and home) environment in Calgary Previous co-op or internship experience is considered an asset What will make you successful in this role? A strong interest in the electricity and energy sector A passion for learning and continuous improvement Creative problem-solving skills The ability to work effectively in fast-paced, cross-functional teams Strong communication skills — written and verbal A genuine desire to make an impact on the community you serve Salary: Engineer in Training Level A (Current CUPE rates) $81,593.69 - $86,692.06 - $91,790.43 - $96,888.79 - $101,987.16 Compensation & Benefits: The starting rate for this position is $81,593.69 and progresses to $101,987.16 Full benefits, pension, vacation, and performance-based bonus starting on day one. Relocation assistance may be available for candidates residing outside of Calgary. Location: This role will be part of our hybrid (home and office) work force with office workspace located in Calgary or surrounding area. You will have the opportunity to work from home on Mondays and Fridays and be in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
