Role Description The Quality Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Milton, ON. This role is responsible for overseeing all quality assurance and quality control activities, ensuring that recycled plastic materials and compounding processes meet ISO 9001 standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day tasks include developing and updating quality procedures, leading inspections and audits, monitoring production quality metrics, and coordinating corrective and preventive actions. The Quality Manager collaborates closely with operations, laboratory, and R&D teams to resolve quality issues, optimize processes, and support continuous improvement initiatives. This role also involves training team members on quality standards, maintaining documentation, and engaging with customers on quality-related inquiries and complaints. Qualifications Experience in quality management, quality assurance, or quality control within manufacturing, plastics, or related industries. Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and practical experience implementing or maintaining certified quality management systems. Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies (e.g., root cause analysis, CAPA, statistical process control, risk assessment). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret technical data, test results, and process metrics. Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and interact with customers and suppliers. Demonstrated ability to lead audits, manage documentation, and ensure compliance with regulatory and customer requirements. Experience in laboratory or material testing environments, particularly polymers or recycled materials, is an asset. Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering, Science, Quality Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Familiarity with lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or Six Sigma principles is considered beneficial. Ability to work on-site in Milton, ON
