Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or equivalent (e.g. GED or CAEC [Canadian Adult Education certificate]) and at least 2 years of residential maintenance experience is required.
- A valid Class 5 Driver's License (or provincial equivalency) with no more than 6 demerits OR a Class 5 Graduated Driver's License (GDL) with no more than 4 demerits, and no current charges or suspension pending is required.
- Completed safety training such as Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS), enrollment in a Residential Building Operator Certificate, and exposure to various trades will be considered assets.
- You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently as well as to be an effective team member.
- Demonstrated time management skills and problem-solving abilities.
Working Conditions: You will be required to drive between worksites and work around emotionally troubling situations such as poverty and violence.
Pre-employment Requirements
- A security clearance will be conducted.
- Must obtain a City of Calgary operator's permit.
- Successful applicants must provide proof of qualifications.
Pre-employment Drug Test: An offer of employment for this position will be conditional on an applicant passing a pre-employment drug test. This test assesses for use of drugs including cannabis. Failure to pass a pre-employment drug test may prevent an applicant from being hired into any safety sensitive position for a period of up to twelve months.

Compensation: $36.85 - 40.81 per hour
Hours of work: Non-standard 38 hour work week.
Days of work: This position works a 4 day work week.
