What You’ll Be Doing:

Parts & Inventory Management
- Own and manage the parts and supplies inventory program for all heavy mobile equipment for Peace River Mine.
- Establish and maintain minimum stock levels for critical spare parts, consumables, and maintenance supplies to prevent equipment downtime.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate pricing with parts suppliers; obtain competitive quotes and manage vendor relationships to optimize cost and availability.
- Implement and maintain an organized parts tracking system within the CMMS (Limble), ensuring accurate inventory counts, part numbers, locations, and reorder points.
- Coordinate parts receiving, storage, and issuance to mechanics and technicians in a controlled and documented manner.
- Conduct regular physical inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies with system records.
- Work with the mining leadership team to issue purchase orders for parts, supplies, and repair services; review all vendor invoices for accuracy prior to approval.
- Identify and phase out obsolete parts inventory; manage disposal or return processes accordingly.
Vendor & Procurement Management
- Obtain quotes and assist the mine management team in negotiating contracts for equipment purchases, short-term rentals, long-term leases, and loaner machines as required.
- Conduct regular performance review meetings with critical equipment suppliers and service vendors.
- Review all vendor repair invoices for accuracy and completeness before processing.
Financial & Planning
- Assist in budget planning for equipment purchases, rentals, sales, maintenance, and parts inventory.
- Provide management with cost analysis and data to support equipment management strategy decisions.
- Track and report on parts and repair expenditures against budget; identify cost-saving opportunities.
Safety & Compliance
- Champion and enforce all SES safety practices, policies, and industry regulations across all equipment operations.
- Support safety training programs for the proper operation and handling of mobile equipment.
- Ensure all equipment meets applicable regulatory and compliance standards at all times.
Leadership & Coordination
- Coordinate daily labor and task assignments for mechanics, technicians, and applicable SES personnel.
- Work closely with production supervisors and shift leads to ensure all areas are equipped with properly functioning mobile equipment.
- Perform additional duties as needed and assigned.
Who We’re Looking For:
-
High school diploma or equivalent.
-
Five years of experience in mobile equipment maintenance and utilization, or any combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.

Working knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions common to mobile equipment operations.

Supervisor experience preferred.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Valid driver’s license required.
