The Opportunity

EDPRO is actively recruiting a Technical Services Leader to join our Operations Leadership Team and grow with us. In collaboration with fellow leaders, this role is responsible for establishing, leading, and continuously improving technical service programs that deliver efficient, responsive, high‑quality, customer‑focused support across our bulk, cylinder, and fleet operations.

This is a key leadership role with a direct impact on safety, compliance, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction. If you are analytically minded, process‑driven, and motivated to lead people while making a measurable difference, this opportunity offers both challenge and growth.

Core Responsibilities

  • Ensure decisions related to staffing, organizational structure, processes, and capital investments are aligned with the business plan and EDPRO’s vision.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain performance metrics, dashboards, and tracking systems to drive continuous improvement in quality, efficiency, and service delivery.

  • Lead and support a team of Service Technicians,
    Cylinder Customer Support Representatives, and Service Coordinators,
    fostering a high‑performance culture rooted in safety, accountability, and customer service.

  • Differentiate EDPRO through outstanding technical expertise and customer experience, with an unwavering commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.

  • Lead recruitment efforts for approved positions, including onboarding, orientation, and technical training.

  • Organize and execute continuous learning and skills‑development programs for technical services employees.

  • Triage and prioritize technical service requests, ensuring customer needs and expectations are met efficiently using both internal and external resources.

  • Manage purchasing and inventory to support field operations, ensuring materials and equipment availability while controlling costs.

  • Oversee tank and cylinder inventory, inspection, refurbishment, and lifecycle management programs.

  • Ensure all regulatory, safety, and company compliance requirements for service vehicles, equipment, and personnel are met and documented.

  • Participate in a mandatory leadership on‑call rotation, responding to urgent after‑hours operational issues across all service sectors.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support operational excellence.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Post‑secondary education in engineering, business, technology, or a related discipline, or demonstrated related equivalent experience.

  • Strong analytical and data‑driven decision‑making skills.

  • A proactive, solutions‑oriented mindset with the ability to adapt to unexpected challenges.

  • Proven ability to coach, motivate, and develop people, building capability and engagement across diverse teams.

  • A passion for process design, optimization, and execution.

  • Comfort working with technical standards, codes, and industry best practices.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience working with ERP or operations management systems.

  • Familiarity with the propane, energy, HVAC, or related technical service industries, considered an asset.
