WQS Group of Companies is currently recruiting an experienced, proficient, Safety Advisor for upcoming project scopes in the heartland region for WQS Non-Destructive Testing. What You Will Do Implement HSE policies, procedures, and programs tailored to the unique challenges of Non-Destructive Testing and Rope Access operations. Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Provide guidance and support to project teams, including NDT technicians and Rope Access technicians, on safety protocols, equipment usage, and emergency procedures. Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action initiatives to prevent recurrence of accidents, near misses, and environmental incidents. Deliver engaging safety training sessions and toolbox talks to enhance awareness and promote a strong safety culture among all employees, subcontractors, and stakeholders. Stay abreast of evolving safety regulations, industry standards, and technological advancements in Non-Destructive Testing and Rope Access techniques, and incorporate relevant updates into HSE programs. Collaborate with project managers, supervisors, and clients to ensure that HSE requirements are effectively integrated into project planning, execution, and completion stages. Serve as the primary point of contact for HSE inquiries, concerns, and reporting, fostering open communication channels and building trust across the organization. What You Will Bring 5 years work experience in Health, Safety, and Environment. Specific knowledge and expertise in Non-Destructive Testing and/or Rope Access. Proficient in Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat. Strong understanding of Alberta's regulatory environment. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
