You Have
Enrollment in a post-secondary education, specializing in Urban and/or Regional Planning, Geography, Data Science, Public Policy, Economics or related field Enrollment in a recognized co-op placement program Proficient in the use of software programs including Microsoft, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook Strong organization and time management skills Good verbal and written communication skills Flexibility to travel as required
Nice To Have
Working knowledge of programs and languages such as ARCGIS or QGIS, SQL, SPSS, R and Python Valid driver’s license
What You Will Do
Conduct research and analysis on policies, academic literature, programs, legislation and industry best practices and trends to support branch initiatives Review and document the sources of information Organize background documentation and present research findings in literature reviews, environmental scans, memos, charts or reports to the Research, Insights & Engagement branch, where appropriate Provide technical support to assist with responses to requests Identify, collect and analyze data to support branch initiatives Collect and assist with data analysis and communicate research results Other duties as assigned
