About the role
Our client, a manufacturing leader in the automotive industry is looking for a talented electrician to join their team The Maintenance Electrician role involves repairing, troubleshooting, installing, maintaining, dismantling, calibrating, and overhauling machinery as needed. The position requires using plans and blueprints to carry out installations, perform equipment overhauls, and implement improvements using both hand and power tools. The job is performed in a fast-paced automotive environment, adhering to scheduled tasks. Preventative maintenance inspections are conducted to ensure machines meet company performance standards. A minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing setting is required. Experience with overhead cranes, tow motors, aerial lifts, and measuring tools (e.g., micrometers, height indicators) is a plus. Must possess a valid trades license – Ontario or Journeyman Certificate of Qualification for the trade of Electrician.
Your profile Able to communicate clearly in English (both verbal and written). Receptive to new ideas, change, and continual improvement. Capable of moving ideas into actions. Creative problem-solving skills are essential. Skilled in root cause analysis and troubleshooting techniques of equipment problems. General knowledge of blueprint reading. Must own Toolbox/Tools to carry out tasks.
