Position Overview:

As a Senior DevOps professional, you will serve as a strategic leader and technical authority within the DevOps function. You will oversee the design and delivery of robust, scalable infrastructure and deployment solutions, while driving improvements in system reliability, security, and operational efficiency. This role involves close collaboration with Architects, Developers, and Security teams to ensure infrastructure meets enterprise standards and compliance requirements. You will support initiatives in cloud optimization, AI-driven operations, and cross-team enablement, while fostering a culture of excellence through mentorship, knowledge sharing, and alignment with DevOps best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Execution & Delivery

  • Build, support, and optimize CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code (IaC), and automated deployment strategies across environments;
  • Standardize release patterns (blue/green, canary) and progressive delivery guardrails.
  • Automate and maintain scalable, resilient, and highly available cloud infrastructure using IaC.
  • Establish comprehensive monitoring, observability, logging, and alerting to enhance system reliability, accelerate incident response, and provide actionable performance insights.
  • Integrate emerging tools, technologies, and architectural patterns to continuously improve system performance, reliability, scalability; and adopt reusable modules to reduce cognitive load and accelerate delivery.
  • Collaborate with Architects, Software Developers, and Security teams to ensure infrastructure solutions align with enterprise standards and compliance requirements.
  • Drive cloud efficiency through cost governance, resource rightsizing, and adoption of FinOps best practices.

Support Enablement

  • Act as a technical liaison between engineering teams and cross-functional stakeholders, including Product, Security, and senior leadership.
  • Analyze and support critical production issues, conducting thorough root cause analysis to ensure timely resolution.
  • Lead blameless RCAs; ensure corrective actions are automated in code/pipelines.
  • Champion operational excellence by promoting proactive risk mitigation, robust observability practices, and a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Align infrastructure and operational practices with DevOps standards, design patterns, and best-in-class methodologies across teams.

Mentorship & Guidance

  • Coach DevOps engineers and other team members, providing technical direction and support.
  • Mentor via pairing, design reviews, and post‑incident learning;
  • Curate internal docs/templates.
  • Foster a culture of learning, innovation, and collaboration through active mentorship, knowledge sharing, and hands-on engagement.

Skills:

  • Deep understanding of CI/CD principles with practical expertise in tools such as Jenkins.
  • Proven experience designing and managing enterprise-scale CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes), and multi-cloud environments—preferably GCP, with AWS and Azure as additional assets.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of DNS, VPCs, networking principles, and cloud-native architectural patterns.
  • Proficiency in multiple programming and scripting languages, including Python, Bash, and Java, as well as infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
  • Advanced monitoring and observability capabilities using Grafana and Prometheus; familiarity with other monitoring tools is considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence technical decisions and drive transformational change across teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of security best practices, compliance frameworks, and infrastructure governance.
  • Experience in cloud cost optimization and financial planning for infrastructure, including resource rightsizing and cost governance strategies.

Minimum Education:

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent work experience.

Minimum Years of Work Experience:

  • 7+ years in DevOps, SRE, or related roles, with at least 3 years in a technical leadership capacity.

Other Requirements/Assets:

  • Experience with Chaos Engineering.
