About the Project You will be part of our Hazel McCallion LRT project, playing a key role in driving its success and contributing to one of Canada’s most exciting infrastructure projects.
About the Job We are hiring a Technical Coordinator to step into an existing role] our Technical Office team on the Hazel McCallion LRT. This position reports to the Senior Technical Manager.
What You Will Be Doing? Coordinate and monitor the Designer performance and CRR process, including coordination of incoming and outgoing CRRs, delegation of review activities to the technical team, tracking response timelines, and ensuring timely closure of comments and actions. Coordinate with interface management, safety, design, and technical stakeholders to ensure CRR responses are complete, accurate, technically appropriate, and aligned with project requirements. Review and validate designer comments and technical responses to ensure consistency, quality, constructability, and appropriateness prior to formal issuance. Manage the Adjacent Development review process, including intake and tracking of developer submissions, delegation of review activities, consolidation of technical comments, and coordination of responses back to external developers. Coordinate technical reviews of external developer drawings and submissions with internal designers and stakeholders to ensure impacts, interfaces, risks, and project requirements are appropriately assessed and addressed. Act in coordination with the technical document control activities, ensuring all design-related submissions, workflows, and technical documentation are processed in accordance with project procedures and timelines. Create, manage, and maintain technical submittal workflows within document management systems to ensure proper routing, review, approvals, and traceability of technical packages. Coordinate closely with the Alliance Document Control team to ensure technical packages, design submissions, and related documentation are accurately processed, distributed, and archived. Serve as the technical gatekeeper for design-related information and submissions, ensuring documentation quality, completeness, consistency, and compliance with project processes. Manage and maintain project drawing uploads within the Procore Drawing Tool, ensuring all technical drawings, revisions, and associated information remain current and properly coordinated with the technical team. Support implementation and continuous improvement of technical coordination processes, workflows, and governance practices to enhance efficiency, accountability, and consistency across the project. Develop tracking tools, logs, and reporting mechanisms to monitor technical reviews, submissions, comments, workflows, and outstanding actions. Provide guidance and support to project teams regarding technical coordination procedures, document workflows, and submission requirements. Maintain strong coordination and communication across multidisciplinary teams, ensuring technical information is effectively shared, tracked, and actioned within required timelines. Proactively identify process gaps, workflow risks, and coordination issues, escalating concerns and driving resolutions to minimize impacts to project delivery.
What We Are Looking For? Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Engineering Technology, Architecture, Construction Management, or related discipline. Minimum 3–5 years of experience in technical coordination, design coordination, document control, interface coordination, or project delivery within large infrastructure or transit projects. Demonstrated experience managing technical review workflows, design coordination activities, and multidisciplinary stakeholder interfaces. Experience with document control systems, technical submittal processes, and workflow management within complex project environments. Strong understanding of engineering drawing reviews, technical documentation, and design coordination processes. Experience working with cloud-based project management and document management platforms (e.g., Procore or similar systems). Familiarity with adjacent development coordination, technical review processes, and stakeholder management within infrastructure projects is considered an asset. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and project tracking/reporting tool are required. Basic/Intermediate Proficiency with PROCORE software is required
Expected Compensation Successful candidates chosen for this position can expect to earn between $70,000.00 CAD - $85,000.00 CAD The exact salary you will earn within this range is dependant on the specific project to which you are assigned.
