Engineering Technician
Regular Full-Time ($43.92 - $46.58 /hour- 2026 Rates) Pay Grade 12

Engineering Technicians provide technical support across a wide range of municipal engineering functions. This position provides technical support focused on maintaining and updating the District's Geographic Information System (GIS) and directly supporting municipal maintenance coordination, asset data management, and capital renewal delivery. The role supports Public Works operations by planning and coordinating maintenance and renewal activities, providing technical input and review of work packages, and ensuring alignment between Engineering and field crews.
Our ideal candidate has graduated from a two-year diploma program in civil engineering technology (offered by an institute of technology or equivalent post-secondary institution) and has four years' of recent related experience directly related to the core work of the position, in addition to a valid and subsisting British Columbia driver's license (use of a personal vehicle for municipal business is required). This position is represented by CUPE Local 374.
