Role Description The Data Scientist role is a full-time, on-site position based in Vancouver, BC. In this role, the Data Scientist will gather, clean, and analyze structured and unstructured data to generate actionable insights for clients across multiple industries. Responsibilities include building predictive and statistical models, designing experiments, and developing dashboards and visualizations that support data-driven decision-making. The Data Scientist will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including consultants, software engineers, and business stakeholders, to translate business challenges into analytical solutions and clearly communicate findings. The role also involves contributing to AI/ML strategy, optimizing data pipelines, and continuously evaluating new tools and methodologies to enhance the company’s analytics capabilities. Qualifications
Strong foundation in Data Science and Statistics, with the ability to design experiments, build models, and interpret quantitative results. Hands-on experience in Data Analytics and Data Analysis, including data cleaning, feature engineering, and exploratory analysis. Proficiency in Data Visualization, using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms to create clear, insightful dashboards. Experience with programming languages commonly used in data science (e.g., Python, R) and familiarity with SQL and relational databases. Knowledge of machine learning techniques and frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch) and their practical application to business problems. Ability to communicate complex analytical concepts in clear, accessible language to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Experience working with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern data engineering tools is an advantage. Collaborative mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and willingness to work on-site in a dynamic consulting environment.
