What a Day at Goguen Architecture Looks Like: Technical Design & Drafting: Prepare detailed architectural drawings, including construction details, plans, elevations, and sections using Revit. Ensure all designs adhere to building codes, regulations, and standards. Collaboration & Coordination: Work closely with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to coordinate designs and integrate interdisciplinary components into comprehensive technical documents. Construction Documentation: Manage the production and organization of construction documentation. Prepare, review, and revise technical drawings and specifications to ensure accuracy and completeness. Material Research & Specification: Research and recommend materials, fixtures, and finishes that meet project requirements for durability, sustainability, and aesthetic appeal. Site Visits & Inspections: Participate in site visits to assess construction progress, verify alignment with design documents, and provide technical guidance to the construction team as needed. Technical Problem Solving: Address and resolve technical challenges that arise during the design and construction phases. Quality Control: Monitor and enforce quality control measures in all stages of the design and construction documentation process to ensure high standards are maintained.
What Your Experience Looks Like: Professional Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Architectural Technologist or in a related role, with a strong portfolio demonstrating technical design proficiency in Commercial & Institutional Architectural projects. Educational Background: Diploma or degree in Architectural Technology or a related field. Proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, Twinmotion & Microsoft 365 suite. Familiarity with Affinity & Adobe Creative Suite is an asset. Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and construction methodologies.
