Position Overview Yorktowne Air is seeking a detail-oriented and technically disciplined Lead Energy Manager with a minimum of 5+ years of experience in energy management, HVAC systems, or building performance analysis. You will be responsible for conducting energy audits, analyzing utility consumption, identifying performance improvement opportunities, and preparing structured client reports. This role requires strong analytical capability, clear communication skills, and the ability to align energy findings with practical mechanical and operational improvements. This is a hybrid position, with a combination of in-office collaboration and site visits based on project demands and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities Energy Audits & Assessments • Conduct on-site energy assessments across commercial and multi-residential facilities • Review HVAC systems, mechanical equipment, and operational practices • Identify energy conservation measures (ECMs) • Develop preliminary ROI and payback analyses • Support capital planning discussions with clients Utility & Performance Analysis • Analyze historical utility consumption (natural gas, electricity, water) • Establish baseline performance metrics • Calculate Energy Use Intensity (EUI) and emissions impact • Identify inefficiencies and performance gaps • Normalize performance data for weather and occupancy where applicable Reporting & Client Support • Prepare structured energy performance reports • Support presentations to property managers and stakeholders • Translate technical findings into actionable recommendations • Identify applicable rebate and incentive programs Collaboration • Coordinate with HVAC service and retrofit teams • Support planning and budgeting of identified improvements • Contribute to development of internal reporting standards and best practices

Core Qualifications & Must-Haves We are seeking a technically strong and commercially aware professional who brings analytical expertise and accountability. Education & Experience • Minimum 5+ years of experience in energy management, building performance analysis, or HVAC-related technical roles • Post-secondary diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, Building Systems, or a related field • Practical experience within a mechanical contracting, consulting, or BAS environment • Experience performing or contributing to energy audits and client reporting • Professional designations such as Certified Energy Manager (CEM) are considered an asset Technical Competencies • Strong understanding of HVAC systems and mechanical operations • Experience analyzing utility bills and energy data • Ability to interpret technical drawings and system documentation • Working knowledge of energy modelling principles • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams) Professional Strengths • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to present technical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders • Team-oriented mindset with ability to collaborate across departments • Self-motivated and accountable • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
