Job Overview:
The Configuration Technician is responsible for fulfilling customer sales orders by performing hardware setup, software installation, product configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and inventory transactions while adhering to established procedures and delivery schedules. This role utilizes ERP and MES systems to maintain product traceability, inventory accuracy, and process compliance. Responsibilities include interpreting customer requirements, configuring systems and servers, performing functional testing, identifying and diagnosing failures, coordinating product rework and software updates, maintaining records, and supporting inventory management. The position collaborates closely with Production, Planning, Shipping, Engineering, and Test Development teams and provides training to Configuration Testers.

What The Job Is All About:
Perform basic hardware set-up, component insertion, software installation and testing on systems and servers as per sales order requirements. Pick assemblies from finished goods to fulfill sales order line item requirements and ensuring any testing & configuration is performed when necessary. Maintains inventory system within the finished goods inventory which includes accurately receiving and picking stock and takes periodic inventory of stock and assembly. Identify products failing test procedure/configuration specifications. Fulfill customer configuration requirements using documentation & create data records. System/Server level debug, confirm procedure adherence and infrastructure integrity. Works closely with Test Development and/or Product Engineering regarding new product introduction. Will be responsible for training other staff. Follows clear instructions, making basic changes and identifying/recommending solutions. Works closely with the team assembling, disassembling, brainstorming, problem solving, team building and ensuring quality results in products. Perform basic troubleshooting and information collection. Resolve mechanical conflicts by using shims, grinding, filing, or reaming of hardware when necessary to ensure good fit or alignment within specified guidelines.
Who You Are:
High School Diploma Hands-on experience with PC configurations and Windows including operating systems and software. Computer, Mechanical & learning aptitude. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Capable of following procedures and working logically. Good organizational skills. Available for shift work. Follow all PPE and H&S Requirements.
Bonus Point If You Have The Following:
Mechanical and Electrical assembly is an asset. Previous experience with electronic components is an asset.

Salary Information:
The pay range for this role in Canada is: $48,500 - $57,500 CAD
The listed salary reflects the pay range for a role based in Canada. Compensation may differ based on alternate locations if listed. Final compensation will be determined by location, skills, experience, knowledge, and role-specific qualifications, and may be adjusted to recognize candidates accordingly.
