About the role
Reporting to the Planning Coordinator – Engineering, the Mining Engineer plays a key role in developing long-term mining strategies. He/she contributes to optimizing the use of mineral resources by developing strategic scenarios supported by rigorous technical and economic analyses.
In collaboration with internal teams and external partners, he/she actively participates in long-term planning, risk and opportunity assessments, and the continuous improvement of operational practices.

Key Responsibilities
- Participate in updating and optimizing budget planning and Life of Mine (LOM).
- Develop and analyze risks and opportunities related to long-term strategic scenarios.
- Act as a Qualified Person (QP) for the approval of mineral reserves.
- Participate in the implementation of applicable laws, regulations, standards, and procedures.
- Support engineering in defining safe and efficient mining methods.
- Collaborate with various departments to resolve issues.
- Coordinate the work of external consultants and contractors.
- Contribute to technical studies.
- Ensure compliance with operational standards, policies, and procedures.
- Perform any other related duties.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
- Valid general explosives permit.
- Completed FMTM modules (1 to 5 and 7).
