Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Heavy Equipment Mechanic role based in Fox Creek, Alberta. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will inspect, diagnose, and repair a variety of heavy equipment such as skid steers, telehandlers, and manlifts to ensure safe and reliable operation. Daily responsibilities include performing scheduled preventative maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues, and completing accurate service records. The role involves working with the operations team to prioritize repairs, support equipment readiness for customer rentals, and respond promptly to urgent service needs. The mechanic will also help maintain a clean, organized shop environment and follow all safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications Strong skills in Equipment Maintenance and Vehicle Maintenance, including preventative service, inspections, and documentation. Proficiency in Equipment Repair and Heavy Equipment systems, with experience working on construction or industrial machinery. Ability to perform effective Troubleshooting on mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and manuals. Relevant technical training, apprenticeship, or certification in heavy equipment, automotive, or diesel mechanics (or equivalent experience). Knowledge of workplace safety practices and commitment to safe work procedures and regulations. Ability to read and interpret service manuals, technical diagrams, and work orders. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and as part of a team. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; ability to work occasional extended hours as operational needs require.
