About the role
Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work setting: Various locations. Tasks: Perform brake adjustments. Perform emergency roadside repairs. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Perform preventive maintenance. Receive and relay information to central dispatch. Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Driver's License (Class 3 or D). Documentation knowledge: Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip). Type of trucking and equipment: Tow truck. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Repetitive tasks. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Experience: Will train. Workplace information: On the road job.
