Jardeg has an Expression of Interest for Apprentice and Journeypersons Carpenters for upcoming Infrastructure and Water projects with Technical Workforce Inc. in the Calgary area for the next 4 years

These positions have a 5 days on and 2 days off schedule with the possibility of working afternoons, evenings, and weekends. At this time, only local candidates or candidates willing to relocate will be considered.

As a Carpenter Journeyperson, You Will

Build forms for concrete Cut, shape, and join Look for and fix deficiencies Check accuracy of work, and makes adjustments as required Study blueprints or work planning Construct and form chutes for pouring concrete Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level Act as a work leader and mentors to apprentice carpenters Inform immediate supervisor of abnormalities or defects and/or takes appropriate measures General site upkeep

Minimum Requirements

Preference will be given to candidates with a Carpenter Journeyperson Ticket from a recognized provincial training authority Non-ticketed carpenters must provide proof of hours relevant to the industrial Carpentry trade Experience with concrete formwork required Previous experience working at a water infrastructure project is an asset Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Describe and point out safety compliance and regulatory issues Must be legally entitled to work in Canada Must have reliable transportation to get to work
