Every day we help them develop critical mineral resources more sustainably, design and build better infrastructure, source renewable energy, and reduce their impact on the environment.

The Position

As a Senior Product Designer, you will form an integral part of a team that is directly connected to our customers, working in partnership with Product Managers and Engineers to design experiences into our products that our customers will love. You will lead the design of innovative and impactful software products, taking ownership of the design process from ideation to execution.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product vision and strategy, ensuring that design solutions meet both user needs and business goals. Your experience and expertise will be critical in mentoring junior designers and shaping the overall design culture within the organization.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Cultivate a deep understanding of customer needs and user behaviors to advocate for their voice throughout the product lifecycle. • Partner with Product Managers to conduct user research, defining user personas and behavioral models to guide product direction. • Plan and drive user experience testing to validate design concepts and rapidly incorporate user feedback into iterative designs. • Navigate complex constraints by gaining a strong grasp of legislative, regulatory, security, and accessibility requirements, ensuring compliant product designs. • Determine and establish the strategic design methodologies and UX approaches to be used across product design activities. • Lead visual design activities, displaying a mastery of color theory, typography, layout, and brand integration to maintain a cohesive, modern aesthetic. • Design seamless interactions and natural user flows, ensuring users can achieve their goals with maximum efficiency and satisfaction. • Create high-fidelity wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes using industry-standard tools like Figma to bring design concepts to life. • Manage and advise on UX evaluations, determining the right testing methods, metrics, and level of user involvement required. • Champion user-centered design (UCD) across the business, securing organizational commitment to user-inclusive research. • Develop and maintain guidelines, standards, templates, and resources to scale user research and design best practices internally. • Collaborate closely with internal and external partners to facilitate effective research, user recruitment, and testing initiatives. • Build high-trust, cross-functional relationships as a first-class partner to Product Management, Engineering, and design peers.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Product Design or a related field, combined with a minimum of 7 years of experience in a Product Design team within a commercial software product company. • Proven ability to build strong rapport and lead direct interactions with users and customers, gaining a deep understanding of software domains, user needs, and industry-specific solutions. • Established track record of building high-trust, cross-functional relationships with Product Management, Engineering, and design peers to ensure collaborative success. • Experience exercising substantial autonomy and personal responsibility to plan, schedule, and monitor design deliverables while successfully resolving complex technical or professional issues. • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex design and technical concepts fluently to both technical and non-technical audiences. • Strategic thinker who applies creative concepts, manages project risks, and leverages modern design technologies, applications, and digital tools to maximize role capabilities. • Commitment to continuous professional development, actively sharing specialist knowledge, mentoring team members, and ensuring compliance with security, privacy, and ethical design standards.
