Assistant Director of Public Facilities - Public Facilities Department

The Town of Sandwich, MA has an immediate opening for a 40 hr/wk Assistant Director of Public Facilities. Position reports to the Town’s Director of Public Facilities.

Position performs a wide variety of Administrative and manual work relating to the maintenance, repair and alterations of public buildings, and related equipment; all other work as required. Independently performs building maintenance and repair functions, following acceptable standards of quality and performance. Candidate will preferably be a licensed electrician, plumber and/or experience with HVAC and must be skilled in performing preventative maintenance and repair. Candidate will regularly be expected to perform manual labor, including snow removal, regularly climbing ladders, working on roofs, in tight spaces and to be regularly expected to be lifting or moving 50 pounds. Preferred candidate will have 3-5 years supervisory experience and must possess a valid Massachusetts driver’s license, be responsible, self-motivated and a team player. Successful candidate must obtain a Massachusetts Unrestricted Construction Supervisor’s License within 12 months of hire.

Wage: $40.00 - $44.00 per hour commensurate with experience with excellent benefits.
