About the role
About the Role We partner with global enterprises to design and build large-scale data platforms that power digital products used by millions of users. Our work involves complex data ecosystems, cloud-native architectures, and high-volume, high-impact use cases.
We’re looking for a Solutions Architect who combines deep technical command with exceptional communication skills and the presence to lead and drive work across large, cross-functional teams. This role is hands-on and senior—owning architecture decisions across but also working directly with Python, Docker, EKS, EMR/Spark, and the AWS core stack, with Git/GitHub collaboration at enterprise scale and Databricks as a valued addition.
What You’ll Do Design end-to-end cloud-native data architectures on AWS, leveraging core services (EKS, EMR/Spark, S3, IAM, VPC, Lambda) to build secure, scalable, and high-performance platforms. Containerize and orchestrate data workloads using Docker and Amazon EKS, ensuring reproducibility, portability, and production-readiness across environments. Lead distributed data processing at scale using EMR/Spark, designing efficient batch and streaming job architectures for high-volume use cases. Translate complex business and product requirements into robust, scalable technical solutions, communicating architectural decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Define standards, patterns, and best practices for Python-based pipeline development, infrastructure-as-code, and platform integrations across the AWS stack. Act as technical lead and advisor for engineering teams—commanding the work, unblocking decisions, and ensuring architectural alignment from design through delivery. Review designs and implementations to ensure performance, security, reliability, and cost efficiency—applying FinOps principles to cloud resource management. Leverage Databricks (nice to have) for unified analytics, Delta Lake workflows, or ML workloads where it adds value to the client’s platform architecture. Own and enforce Git/GitHub workflows across large, multi-team organizations—establishing branching strategies, code review standards, and shared repository governance for distributed engineering teams.
What We’re Looking For A total of 8+ years across solutions architecture, data engineering, or related roles, with a proven track record of designing and delivering enterprise-grade platforms. Deep, hands-on expertise across core AWS services—EKS, EMR, S3, IAM, VPC, Lambda, and CloudWatch—with the ability to implement infrastructure as code. Integrate AI-native methodologies and large language models into existing workflows to accelerate engineering throughput and enhance technical discovery processes. Strong Python proficiency for pipeline development, automation scripting, and platform tooling. Production-level experience containerizing workloads with Docker and orchestrating them on Amazon EKS in enterprise environments. Proven ability to design and optimize distributed data processing jobs using EMR and Apache Spark for high-volume batch and streaming use cases. Expert-level experience with Git workflows and GitHub collaboration at large-organization scale—including shared repo management, branching strategies, and cross-team code governance. Skilled communicator who can command the work—leading technical conversations, aligning stakeholders, and driving decisions in complex, multi-team environments. Nice to have—familiarity with Databricks for analytics, Delta Lake, or ML workloads is a strong differentiator. Fluent English, both written and spoken.
